Purchased Optimate O-40 cable and instructions say 18mm or 23/32 inch mounting hole. I measured the diameter of the threads and found them to be very close to 11/16" so I drilled a hole that size and it fitted perfectly. With this product I can charge and maintain the tractor battery simply and easily with a battery tender. And while this product does everything I would ask it to do, I wish the cord was 16 gauge instead of 18. It would handle 13 amps instead of 10, but it wasn't worth the star deduction. They offer a slightly different 16 gauge.
