Review on πŸ–¨οΈ Effortless CD/DVD Label Printing with Primera Signature Z1 Printer by Josh Maher

The Primera Z1 meets my requirements

All in all, I really liked the Primera Z1. It's quick and easy to use. I was happy with the results. Unlike the other reviewer, I didn't find the slight jaggedness in the text to be a problem and didn't notice it until I read his review - I had to look closely to notice it. I haven't tried printing charts, so I can't comment on that. I found the Primera Z1 to be extremely easy to set up: just plug it into a USB port, install the software (which was a breeze) and follow the instructions to install the ink cartridge. I got up quickly and ran. It's true that there is no printer cartridge indicator of how much is left, but the few printers I've used (and I've used a lot) provide this information, so I always carry a spare cartridge with me. So for me it's not a problem. I have used the Primera Z1 to label DVDs and have used TDK DVD-R discs with a satin silver finish and printed the TDK name, disc type, size, etc. (I had a supply of these before buying the Primera Z1 and wanted to use them up before I buy the recommended regular discs.) You can align the disc in the printer and type text into the software to win it. Do not write over disc labeling (tip: if you are using printed discs, make sure the disc is placed in the printer so that the printed text is horizontal). difficult to read) up to 36 points and were very satisfied with the results. I only used black cartridges. It's certainly better than handwriting titles in indelible ink or trying to use labels (which a DVD I recorded from a camcorder that I didn't read on my player did). The Primera Z1 isn't going to offer you the very high quality products you'll find. on pre-recorded DVDs or music CDs. But if your needs are as simple as mine, printing text directly to DVD or CD is great. As mentioned above, you can print in any font installed on your computer and in any size (simply highlight the text, then choose a font from the drop-down menu and then a size). You can confuse, i.e. I had 3 different headings and I printed each one in a different font and size. You can center, right or left align and align text. You can also make text bold, italic, or underlined. It even does square marks or numbering. I should probably mention that I'm running this on a Home Edition of Windows XP.
