Tips.1. Call and chat with real people! Ask questions before you buy.2. See the back of the manual for tips. Unfortunately, on the other side of the valuable tips is a block mounting template! Recommendation: Make a copy of the template and keep the instructions for use and tips.3. I replaced my old leaking 5 reverse osmosis filter that had a 1/4 inch line connection to the ice maker. I was told the t-shirt is included. Had not. So if you already have an ice maker hooked up to a water source, all you need is a 3/8" x 3/8" x 1/4" tee. (Most ice makers use a 1/4" line ). Order this when ordering the system. 4. The company offers a pipe cutter. This is necessary, if not for installation, then annual filter change. The pipe must be cut perfectly. square to the socket in the quick couplers. If you do an annual filter change, it's good to check the hoses going to the quick couplers on the filters for scratches on them. Reinstalling will likely result in a leak. "Use a pipe cutter instead to just remove the damaged section of hose. This should give you a good quick connection. 5. Watch the installation video. Read the instructions and tips. Then use the installation video to guide you." to guide through the installation I went through the sections several times to make sure I got it right above and below for a set of filters but penetration The pump needs to be next to the filters so does the UV transformer I placed the permeate pump mount 8-9 inches from the center of the filter block and about 5" below; thus the height was midway to the filter set. This kept the pipe between them from bending at awkward angles. I then installed a UV transformer above the permeate pump to connect the wires to protect against possible water leakage.See photo.Basically, the permeate pump is installed in the middle of the cluster ins talled.7. I had to add a couple of outlet extenders (the GE outlet adapter works on the Revain) to accommodate the garbage chute, dishwasher and UV plugs. I also made sure all the electrical wiring was above the pipes and not under or on the bottom of the closet. Note: The power supply to the garbage outlet is controlled by the wall switch. The extension cord must be plugged into a different outlet that the dishwasher is using. So at your last exit you have a UV light and a dishwasher. This is a hot socket. I only had a six socket extension so there is a garbage chute in the top row of 3 sockets. The lower unit, lower hot spout, has a dishwasher and UV light. See photo.8. I installed the tank last so I could squeeze in to make other mounts and mounts. See photo. It is full! 9. The video shows how to carefully open the water supply line to the reverse osmosis system. I did just that and opened up a little. This took about 2 minutes. ALSO: To reduce the water pressure, I turned on the sink and supplied cold water when I opened the supply line to the RO.10. HOORAY! I immediately noticed a leak in the tank's 3/8" quick disconnect. Not panicking, I pushed and pulled. It seated him. 11. Flushing the system takes some time, but that's okay. I have Used water from two flushes for the plants in the garden.I also emptied my ice maker before I started installing the unit and emptied it again after the second flush of the system. The ice also went to the plants in the yard.12 The good news: after all this there were no leaks and the TDS was 3!13.Installation + 5 days.Well, almost no flow.We opened the closet and found water. The quick connector at the bottom of the reverse osmosis faucet was leaking. In The instructions and videos warn against hand tightening, but that's relative. I have an old wrist! So I took a 9/16" wrench and, applying some pressure with my fingertip, tightened it until it felt like it was snug .Be careful not Don't overtighten, but make sure it's an airtight fit. The water in the faucet has gone through a lot of pressure. I will check the pressure in the tank in a year, but at the moment it seems too high. This may be because the company is at about 1000 feet and I am at 5300.
