Ok of course a little smaller than expected but it makes a great gift, my daughter was immediately happy with it, it caught her attention, she loves it and he always works to distract her when she's blurry. It looks solid, love that it's made of wood, I agree the hollow bottom is a little different but I don't hate it, otherwise it would be a lot harder, my daughter hit herself once when trying to turn it towards her and head in the same direction, but it was nothing serious, she still likes this toy very much.
