Unfortunately the suction cup on this device either works great or doesn't work at all. Since the mount is designed for expensive tablets and LCD screens, I want the mount to work all the time and not risk my electronics. Too many times this mount has been knocked down on a plain wood surface or countertop and my electronics have fallen off without warning. No amount of tightening adjustment helped. It can take up to 15 minutes for the mount to tip over before I have enough confidence to turn my back on the mount before tipping over again. The aesthetics and design of this mount are great. However, failing to backup my device should be the top priority for this device and it is not.
