Let's start with the positives. This is a powerful pump, especially for the money. It's pretty quiet unless in close proximity (you don't want to sleep in the same room) or at high altitude. It's not unbearable, albeit quieter than expected. The included metal valve with four outlets is a nice addition. Now for the cons: the primary outlet design is downright absurd, especially since the hose that comes with it is barely (I mean just) long enough to hold the hose. and valves do not rest directly on the pump itself. You can sort of push it aside, but it doesn't take long before it moves towards the pump and becomes very annoying and noisy. Anyone who thought putting the outlet at such a ridiculous angle/position was a good idea needs to find a new way. A short hose will only make the injury worse. The biggest problem with the pump is that it made a significant amount of noise every morning because the hose had detached AGAIN from the outlet. Everyone. Lonely. in the morning (and often once or twice a day) and is totally unacceptable. I have now tried different screw/hose clamps but the problem persists. Ribbon? No difference. Superglue and the like work, albeit temporarily, forcing you to damage the pump. Sorry, but no one should jump through hoops or spend extra money (in my case now more than half what I paid for the pump itself) hoping to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened in the first place . If I can't find a way to solve this problem, I'll have to buy another brand of pump. It's either that or canceling overnight stays or vacations because of the hose shit. It's really that bad. Actually I just got back from the weekend and what did I find? The triple-taped hose is back on the floor for God knows how long. That's ridiculous! At first I thought I would be very interested to hear what Pondforse/Suntech had to say on this as I would have happily bought additional pumps if it hadn't been for this absurd problem but time has shown the seller doesn't care . . As much as I'd like to make an enthusiastic recommendation, I just can't. Constant headaches are too much and one of these days will cause even bigger headaches. If you only need to leave your pump for 12, but certainly not more than 24 hours, you should look elsewhere. . Posting an entirely new listing to cover up bad reviews will only lead to more of the same, so perhaps the wisest course of action would be to simply fix the obvious issues with the product itself.
