I had to drill and install a stud where the set screw and plug was. This allowed me to tighten it in a position I liked and it was solid. Very bad design. Also, the curvature of the base of the mount didn't match the curvature of the wing and I used a hammer to give it the correct shape. As a result, the bolts in the fender could hardly go far enough to attach the original mounting knurled nuts. Bad design again. However, the end result was that the seat felt very good in the lower back. I got it working but was on the verge of sending it back and getting a quality device.
