went to the garbage for parts

didn't fit me. It was an easy install, but the panel offered no support. It looked solid, made out of .25 inch steel, but it buckled and wobbled. In the end it ended up in the trash.

Great, be patient and find out what fits.

excellent price. Very convenient. Well done Aside from having to fiddle around a bit to install it, I didn't have any of the issues mentioned in the negative reviews. Definitely better than spending hundreds of dollars on a Harley made part.

but I leave it in town because it's so convenient. Easy to put on and take off

After adjusting for me, this back really ticks the box. I ordered it for longer trips, but I leave it on for city trips because it's very comfortable. It's also easy to get in and out of, making it convenient if you have a passenger.

Doesn't work on CVO Softail

Description says it works on Softail. I asked Revain if this would work with CVO Softail but the company refused to answer. I ordered it to try and it's not. I returned the item as it didn't work and they hit me with a restocking fee so only a partial refund. Beware of this company and their products. Proceed with caution.

The set screw and plug broke immediately with very little effort. Mounting curvature is incorrect.

I had to drill and install a stud where the set screw and plug was. This allowed me to tighten it in a position I liked and it was solid. Very bad design. Also, the curvature of the base of the mount didn't match the curvature of the wing and I used a hammer to give it the correct shape. As a result, the bolts in the fender could hardly go far enough to attach the original mounting knurled nuts. Bad design again. However, the end result was that the seat felt very good in the lower back. I gotโ€ฆ

The instructions are useless, the screws holding the back to the stand are too short!

The installation required a lot of tact because the instructions were poor. Once I found the right position (I found that for the best fit I had to flip the brace on the brace myself!). Once (properly) fitted and installed it felt great and definitely improved my riding experience (severe back pain). The biggest problem is that the padded back "torn off" from the metal column after only a few rides. Getting off the bike, my foot hit the base (not too hard, but more than a bump) and the softโ€ฆ
