I have the largest size available and it's still quite small. Can't imagine filling it halfway and putting some fish in it - not humane. I bought 3 of them, washed them, added some clean aquarium rocks and a fish to each of mine and although they look great all 3 fish died in less than a month. I conditioned the water, fed them properly, and cleaned the bowls weekly. It seems that heating the tank is the best choice for her, so lesson learned. These bowls now house fake succulents, which should work great! Bottom line: These weren't the best fish houses, and they were a hassle to clean.
