Difficult in tight spaces

Awkward replacement (you need to remove the entire motherboard because the screws are down!) different pair of corners. Make one pass a little looser, then another pass to tighten them.) But! Be silent. Worked great in a large case (15L) with a 35W Haswell 4c/4t processor. Maintains a temperature of 65-70 degrees Celsius even under gaming load. It doesn't compete with my i7-7700T because of the difference in power consumption, but because I have it in a narrower 7-liter case. Remember: either the case has a fan, or there is a lot of air in the case, or there is a lot of ventilation in the case. My 7700T cools well at base frequency but can only boost up to 3.3GHz under load and hits T_JMax of 80, throttling below max turbo. And this despite the fact that the 7700T consumes less than 35 watts even in turbo mode (according to HWiNFo64). The rest works fine. There is no competing product at this price and level! Doesn't block RAM at all, which is more convenient than you think. However, a small side panel that could be screwed on and provide a bit more cooling by locking in the RAM and VRM would be an interesting addition. Celsius for all T-series processors (the ones with a T suffix in their name, the ones you might use this device with!), limiting the cooling efficiency of this device with them. Intel T_jMax for K-series IIRC processors is more like 105. A T_jMax of 90 (or an adjustable one: I had trouble changing mine, didn't find anything that worked) would be more reasonable. Well, this measure at least helps to prevent the VRMs from overheating due to high ambient temperatures! Also an interesting choice for new AMD processors with an E suffix (eg 5700GE). One last note: the rotational symmetry on the old Intel post-Nehelem mount is really great for these coolers. Thank you Intel for that! You can mount the fin-hole cooler sideways (for case fans) or vertically for fully passive operation. The same does not apply to the AM4 variant of this cooler, and the holes on the AM4 motherboard only form a rectangle, not a square.
