I recently bought a used KLR650 with a Lexx muffler. It was louder than I like. If you like useless noise, Lexx is for you. I decided to remove and repackage. Lex says "every 25 hours" π³? For real? I found this muff and hoped it would at least last longer than the standard fiberglass only package. Installation was easy. Tightly twisted and installed the screen. Heavy steel wool on top. Then comes fiberglass. The Lexx is oval in shape with a straight tube towards the top half. The materials provided fit well and snugly, but there was a fairly large unfilled gap at the bottom. I just cut and bagged as much of the used clean packaging as I could fit in the emptiness. Reinstalled and I find it's a little quieter and a lot of the harshness gone. If it lasts as long as it's supposed to, I can live with the sound it makes now. Will update over time and miles. That's only $10 more than OEM fiberglass alone. And so far I'm quite happy with it. I drove about 750km with it at the moment.
