Review on 🌑️ Pack of 5pcs Gikfun Waterproof DS18B20 Digital Thermal Probe Temperature Sensor for Arduino - EK1083 by Matthew Aiono

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Professional fit and finish! The perfect 1/4 " probe fits the RO T-fitting. Warning!

They won't stick to any shirt with the right glue. Used Starbond Toughened Medium Thick CA. Superglue is for low pressure not required but once it's above 20psi I had to glue it in as the system has it set at 65psi./8" in my water flow so it lags the water temp by about 3-5 degrees but given or temperature over time matches other thermometers, including the Fluke thermocouple, to within 1Β°F. The downside is that the conversion takes anywhere from 1/8 second to 7/8 second depending on the resolution. 10-bit is best as 8-bit microcontrollers are not as accurate except in a critical application. This is due to the Dallas OneWire sensor and not having a probe or cable attached to it. This is a VERY high quality professional grade ribbon cable with a weatherproof end on the metal probe side that is pull resistant. I crimped the JST connectors on the wires just to transport them as I glued some into the reverse osmosis monitoring tees, the lack of a connector is a plus as you can use what you need with that. The wires are tinned and sturdy enough could be plugged directly into a breadboard for a microcontroller. Use with both PIC32 and Arduino and no problem.
