I have a steep windshield and was interested in this mount because of the telescopic arm. This allows me to place the mount where I want it, out of my line of sight so it doesn't interfere with my line of sight, and point the GPS unit towards me, which improves readability and allows the touch screen and take adjustments forward without twisting my back to reach the very edge of the windshield. Some people have complained that the plastic sheet that attaches to the windshield and that the actual suction cup is attached to peels off in the sun. Even though it's winter in my area, I avoided this potential problem by being very, very specific about where I wanted to place the mounting plate and then gluing it in place. Other reviews have mentioned that the telescopic arm vibrates and wobbles. everywhere on the street. It has a set screw that can be tightened and while fully tightened and fully extended to me my oversized Garmin in my semi-rigid sport sedan is just as perfectly stable and held in place with this mount as it is with a standard Garmin mount. . .I'm very picky about the equipment I put in my car and I've been completely satisfied with this product.Buy it.Captain.
