Works well for about a month, after that the gimbal will sag and there is no thread mechanism to tighten the stabilizer to the mount. It would also be better if: 1) the base could be pivoted (because the adhesive pad fixes you almost completely, although you can still pull off the suction cup with a little force); 2) everything is designed to be mounted on a flat or almost flat surface. I have a steep windshield and was interested in this mount because of the telescopic arm. This solved the problem for me. The standard windshield mount placed the device too far away when mounted low enough not to obstruct the view. The reach of the arm when this unit is extended allowed me to mount it low enough that the unit sits on the edge of the dash and about 1/4 inch above it. I previously bought a similar item for My Garmin and it was great until years in the sun completely destroyed the adhesive and it was sliding from windshield to windshield. hurry So I bought what I thought was the same item, only to find that the ball on the end of the mount was just a piece of wood that was a different size. I bought this mount for my Garman GPS in March, it's now early May. I've been using it for less than two months and the suction cup has completely failed. create no suction at all. Once it was warmed up, the glue used on it also melted and it was already out of its return window. The construction at the moment of the Self is great but it doesn't stick to the windshield so it's basically a very crappy product and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
