First, let me put my concerns aside when ordering. The little button on the side does change the display format and does a few other things, but I don't need it yet so I haven't bothered with it. The trade-off of the device is compact size versus screen legibility. In the standard format, voltage and current are fine, but other useful information such as power is very small. I can get very close and squint a little to read them, but it takes some effort. I have no complaints at work. I've tried USB-C PD charging and USB-A QC 3.0 charging with no issues. Both transmit the respective protocols perfectly. As you use it, you'll quickly discover that not all chargers and all cables are created equal. For example, I found that a third-party PD-enabled charger could deliver 26W to my new iPad, which is much better than the 20W charger Apple provided (which actually seemed to have an 18W cap).
