What I like best about these star screws is how quickly they gain and hold grip on wood and how the star tip reduces bit slippage. The Star screw tip grips the wood much better and faster, reducing the time spent fastening parts. Although it really comes down to personal choice. Some people prefer Phillips (+) style heads. I like star tips because for me if the drill bit slips off the Phillips head and scratches the wood, the marks have to be sanded away, which adds to the finishing time. Star Tips work more effectively for the projects we create. I really like and recommend this product.
