Great instrument, but not for life

I love small instruments. They are excellent tools and many of them are designed to last a lifetime. It's a great tool, but it's not for life. The parts on this 11-1 wear out pretty quickly. I work as a service technician and I carry it in my pocket at work and it is used on almost every service call. One minute I might be fixing the air conditioning, the next minute it's the dishwasher or the garbage disposal, I never know what to expect and this driver is taking the beating. Sometimes it's the only tool I need for the job, but it's not perfect. It tends to tip when you put it on (that's how I lost my first of the two I had), bits tend to rust, slotted bits don't hold, they always get momentum at the end. The metal that the bits are made of is very soft and short-lived. Also, the two metal inserts that hold the bits and act as a 1/4 screwdriver sometimes come loose in the grip. Not critical but annoying when carried in pocket. The smaller of the two metal bits is really weak as a screwdriver. I broke one of those stakes this way. It takes me 8 months to a year of regular use before I need new bits or steel inserts and you can get them at Revain. So you'll be buying bits for this 11-1 on a regular basis, and sometimes metal inserts, and if you don't mind, get this tool. It's a great 11-1 but I'll try Wiha's 11-1. I've never done anything with mine but have heard good reviews. Reviews even mention that Bit Life is better than Klein. So fingers crossed.
