I bought this lamp as UV resin curing lamp. It doesn't cure resin so I don't think it's the right product for this particular application. It does a great job of telling you how messy things are, which is both good and unsettling. EDIT: Today I was pleasantly surprised to receive a package from the Gearlight team. Tim (Customer Service Manager) made it a point to send me a letter of apology for my experience without my prompting. He sent me a new XR98 flashlight with a full set of fresh batteries. (He also sent me 2 smaller S100 UV lamps, also with batteries). He explained that maybe the original lamp I received could pass quality control. Well I think he was right as there is an obvious difference between the two as the new one cures the resin very well. Looking at the light pattern you can see the obvious difference in color and UV brightness between the first one and the new one that was sent to me. So I'm updating my rating to 5 stars based on the product alone. I would give more stars if I could based on the above steps Tim took to ensure I was happy with my product. Pay attention to other retailers, this is how you treat customers.
