I bought this camcorder to film the outside of my van at night. Sometimes my dog warns me at night and when my windows are blacked out I can't see outside. This device allows me to see from a wide angle and be on the lookout for wild animals or intruders day or night. Installation requires a few standard tools and I installed it in about 45 minutes. For my purposes, I don't need to record because this device can't store videos. Keep that in mind depending on what situation you want to use it in. The application that I could see the most useful is for the trailer. I have another Autovox DVR that is holding up great and I expect it to hold up as well. The connection and quality was excellent, especially for a WiFi device I had no problems. Night vision is surprisingly good too, with no additional lighting in either night shot, just the camera's IR lighting. I highly recommend this unit for your RV trailer or other truck or van. If you connect directly to the fuse box, a 3A fuse should suffice for the camera. Thank you Vicki for the great customer service.
