I thought all of my strings were broken after the batteries ran out, I was wrong. I replaced the batteries wrong but I couldn't find directions in my box so I figured my strings were broken. In case yours are not working maybe you are doing it wrong too.PLEASE put batteries in THIS way. The battery closest to the lights faces flat side up. The other goes flat side down.These are beautiful colored lights. The only seller I could find selling Amber lights in this gorgeous shade and brightness that did not have those huge long battery packs. I only wish I could find this color in USB connection.
