You will most likely recover better and faster. I've noticed that many people are unaware that they are easily allergic to antibiotic ointments and that the resulting skin reactions (mostly redness and slight swelling) reduce the effectiveness of the body's healing process. That makes sense, I mean, if dermatitis causes your body's immune system to get a little distracted/busy, then it's harder to focus on simply healing the damaged area. Having learned that lesson this summer after minor surgery, I will never turn back.
