Great entry-level camera at a great price

This is a great entry-level camera at a great price. As everyone knows, when you're towing something big, you can't see directly behind you, but this camera changed the world. Being able to make sure no one is standing directly on my bumper when changing lanes on the Autobahn is a must. Installation took about 45 minutes and everything was up and running while you shop the Furrion pigtail. As for the camera, they offer a lot of cable length, but putting extra slack behind the fiber optic cable becomes a problem. I ended up cutting the cable and just connecting it. The instructions are simple but a bit difficult to understand. If you've ever installed something like a car stereo, then this isn't a problem. The monitor syncs without pairing, and I found the 5-inch monitor on the dashboard to be the least intrusive. The only problem with the monitor is that it is attached to the mount with a magnet. While driving, the monitor wanted to hang down to the left where the power cable and antenna are connected. I would recommend a different mount to keep it stable. The system comes with three different power cords, one of which is for the cigarette lighter. I've used this to get everything working and now after a few uses I'm planning on making a direct pass-through behind the dash to the fuse box for aesthetic reasons. The quality of the monitor is good and has good colors. When I left camp before sunrise, the infrared function provided real visibility even in the early morning fog. Everyone. When I sat still the signal was full, but as soon as I moved the signal disappeared. The distance from the monitor to the camera is 48ft (33ft) plus the camera antenna is blocked by the trailer as I used a pre-drilled hole and gasket for the Furrion camera. The instructions said that if there were any problems with the signal, they would provide an extended antenna. I wrote to support and literally a few days later a new antenna arrived. This is a magnetic base antenna with a 12 foot cable. Connects to the camera, not the monitor. I used a metal plate attached to the RV vent cover bracket to hold the antenna, which works great. The extended antenna made a huge difference and never broke on the last two rides. There were a few times where the signal level dropped to a bar and I had a little frame drag, but it never went out. Most of the time I had a full signal. The camera hasn't worked in bad weather for two months and I haven't had any problems with it. Please note that there is no sound on this system, but in any case this is not what I wanted.
