You know this has happened to you. You make pasta sauce and start scooping it into a bowl and BAM, you're spilling something. In the past it ran down the sides of your stove and counter. That means you now have to take the cooker out and clean both before things get funky. Once you get them, you don't have to worry about them anymore. If you spill something, the protective case will catch it for you. It is made of soft silicone that is very easy to cut and adjust to the size you want. Can be lifted and is easy to clean. I usually throw it in the dishwater when washing dishes and so far it hasn't gotten dirty. I can't believe I waited so long to get it.
