Travel: I took this mirror in my carry-on from New Jersey to Puerto Rico and back and had no problems with the lithium battery through security. I wish the mirror came with a protective case or at least a case for better travel. Very light and I've used it often as family vacations can mean dim lighting and sharing a bathroom mirror. Charging: The mirror illumination does not last long (about an hour at most?) and gradually dims. As soon as it is plugged back in, it lights up again to full brightness. I do a lot of makeup, eyebrows, etc. so it's not perfect. If you don't have to worry about frequent charging and want to stay close to an outlet, I recommend looking elsewhere. Brightness: This is my first lighted mirror so I can't compare the brightness to others but I was expecting more from LED bulbs. It definitely helps me with my makeup in my dark apartment, but I often take it and bring it closer to my face. Being able to prop it up at eye level will also help the light hit your face directly. The included mini mirror is unlit and has an annoyingly weak magnet. Since it won't stick to a lighted mirror, I don't use a mini mirror. All in all, this mirror is mostly useful for traveling, not bad for the price, and I use it often. I will probably eventually switch to a brighter mirror for everyday use.
