Purchased in April 2013 for a Spring Break trip. 500 miles. It rained the whole time. None of our bags got wet. it was wonderful. but when I took it off that evening there was a small gap. maybe my fault for the leg of the suitcase. The downside was that the lining above the zipper started to disintegrate on the inside. Good enough for the price I paid. Will probably get another trip or so when it stops raining. I can patch the hole, but I'm not sure about the crumbling lining. Some people had plastic bags tied to the roof. Might try next time. Take a tarp with you in case it rains on your next trip as it will get wet under the lining. Although very useful. Holds quite a bit Packed in 3 bags on wheels cm to honey. 2 small duffel bags and some beach towels. We recommend packing duffel bags and thick plastic bags. nothing tears and it fits much more than in large suitcases. Put them in the back of your van on the way home and packing is easy.
