Our vacation home is on a well. We only get there a few times a year and when we start up the pump it stirs a lot of debris and sediment, which gets pumped into the house, and fixtures. We have a rain shower head and the water would slow to a trickle. We thought it was a pressure problem, but on a guess, installed this and canted it upward. Problem solved. The sediment doesn't get to the shower head, gravity keeps it in the arm. I still have to remove the shower head and blow the debris from the arm occasionally, but at least it doesn't settle in the shower head and clog it. Nice constant water flow now. It was easy to install and didn't leak. Really, took about 3 minutes with only a wrench and some Teflon tape that came with it.
