This is a good alternative for your small bird. I used one for my Senegal parrot who has a sore leg and likes to sit on it for treats. And of course tough. My finch also has a bad leg but it didn't help him. I'm still looking for other alternatives. I accept lifeguards and they often have old injuries and I have to get creative so they can live comfortably. And each bird needs to sit in a different way to relieve pressure on the same spots on the legs.
