Worked great for my ROKU 48 " TLC TV (updated 01/12/19). Also added Powered Hub

Purchased Feb 2017 for my ROKU 48" TLC TV. Thing was working great until my two Cats discovered it as a new toy. I just bought another one this November to replace a cat toy that is still being played with as it could not take the abuse of being shot around the house for hours. For me it was ROKU Connect TV twice and restart, and instead of "Wireless" appeared "WIRED NETWORK". The router received ROKU TV as wired and with a different MAC address. Wireless is fine, but for streaming and cable, PLEX is much smoother. I would recommend it as it even works with my old Linux laptop with a bad RJ45 port. Updated: 02/18/18. The only problem I have is that the ROKU TV disconnects the device and instead of using the wireless network by default, I have to manually reconnect to the wireless network (No Biggie) or restart the TV for USB LAN is displayed again. Can do this every two weeks or so. I'm not sure if it's always on, since it's used on a regular computer it doesn't happen, but I turn off the computers when I'm done. ROKU TV only enters the sleep mode and may not receive the device after waking up because the USB LAN is disabled when the sleep mode is updated. 01/12/19. Found a solution to the problem of finding USB LAN after ROKU TV. I installed a powered USB 2.0 hub to have a flash drive that can run OTA-TV and USB LAN at the same time. With continuous USB LAN power, ROKU TV detects its presence and no longer requires a reboot to work again. It's also nice that both TV pause and wired LAN work at the same time, I just wish I had done that sooner. I am using "Plugable 7-port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Hub with 3A Power Adapter" https://www.amazon. com/gp/product/B003Z4G3I6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 sold here at Revain, other powered USB hubs may work well too. Everyone is smiling now. I've added an image of the working hub I'm currently using. I only wish I had done it sooner.
