This is definitely not US 10 gauge wire. (common standard) They are 10 gauge of an unknown reference. There is only one measuring system, otherwise wires are measured by cross-sectional area or by diameter. definitely a misleading description and the seller admits it. To update. Maybe I should add a star, the seller actually answered my query. The excuses as to why they are Chinese #10 and not 10 AWG didn't help much, plus I figured I'd probably keep them since I need about 12 AWG (they're pretty close) but other than that the quality seems fine to be.
