The second Keenetic router, Ultra has been at home for many years. Sometimes I read professional reviews of home routers and am surprised that the authors are still comparing protocols and gigahertz. This is already hygiene, and the trick of routers is what life situations they cover. My tasks are: (1) Need large coverage and seamless device switching when moving around the apartment and country house. There are two thick walls in the apartment, in the country house it also doesn’t reach the far corner. Keenetic has a built-in convenient mechanism for building a mesh network, in both cases Keenetic Start is used as an expander (2) External access: You can easily set up access to your router and home network through KeenAmazon. Just enter the desired name, and you get external access to the connected usb-disk, torrents, smart home, child traffic monitoring, . For me, external access to the Home Assistant smart home server (I have a separate box hanging) turned out to be especially important in the country, since it was not necessary to install any components or pay for an external ip. Everything was set up in 2 minutes and now I see the whole zoo of devices in one application from anywhere in the world. (3) After reducing content on legal streaming, we are back to torrenting. The router has a built-in application with a web interface + the ability to access files on the router from the TV either through folders or via DLNA. I thought that I want to watch in the evening >> went to rutracker >> downloaded a torrent >> watch a movie. Everything takes 2-3 minutes, not counting the download time. (4) Personal cloud: I used to carry a 120GB project archive disk with me at work. Now the disk is simply connected to the router, external access is made via ftp, FE File Explorer is installed on the iPad and I can see all my files, I can upload something without restrictions and payment to and Apple. (5) Traffic monitoring, which was added a year ago to the next firmware: I have all devices registered on the router, so it's easy and simple to see who, when and how much is playing.
