Not the best. yet: my feedback

I was super excited to receive this collapsible shovel. It seemed sturdy and robust on first examination. But when I tried it out for the first time this morning on a few inches of snow it did not perform as expected at all. The main problem this shovel has is the head. As you can see in the pictures the front is all scraped up. The shovel doesn't work unless you are planning on using it on a perfectly smooth and level surface; which asphalt and concrete RARELY are. Every time you go to scoop the shovel is halted in its tracks by a piece of gravel or bump sticking up from the street/sidewalk. The head was expected to wear away a bit after use but what you see in the pictures is after 1 use. There is a point at the center of the shovel head which makes this problem even worse. The point ground off some as I used it but it still always got stuck in beginning or mid scoop. A shovel that can't glide over rough surfaces is absolutely useless to try to use on the street or sidewalk. It was like hitting a wall with every attempted scoop. It was so frustrating that I tried grinding away the part that kept getting stuck by rubbing it back and forth on the sidewalk. No matter how much I ground away the shovel would always get stuck against the rough surface. I have tons of professional experience with shovels of all kinds but this was the most useless of them all. The only way to counteract the shovel's ineffectiveness was to put excessive momentum into each scoop to force it past all the tiny obstructions. But this is an excellent way to exhaust yourself. Eventually after struggling for 20 minutes I lost it and bashed this POS against the ground and then against a telephone pole. The aluminum bent and broke quite easily as expected. Do not trust the other reviews unless they state that they actually tested the product. Upon first look the shovel seems like a good buy, but when tested the shovel's shortcomings are revealed.UPDATE: The maker of the shovel contacted me with an apology and requested my suggestions for improvements on the product. I have increased the product's rating to 3 stars for their excellent customer service. I gave my best suggestions to improve this shovel's design and I hope the maker can implement these features I have mentioned. I will review again when the new and improved version is complete and tested.
