This module is small and directly powered by AC power. I was able to fit him and his CT coil into a 4x4x2 Carlton PVC junction box. The most important thing for me is the ability to summarize the electricity consumption (kWh). Unfortunately, there is no reading pane at runtime, but that's negligible. I don't have a calibrated reference, but a 100 watt incandescent bulb seems correct. Photo shows "100 watt equiv." CFL lamp reading - kWh is a transmittable value from a separate device. I added a switchable connector to use an external split-core CT (#PZCT-02 sold separately) and the readings between the two sensors are pretty close. The split core current transformer allows me to test each side of the 240V input power supply of the circuit breaker cabinet. All in all it worked fine.
