Disclosure - I reluctantly sent them back as I can't make them suitable for my application but have tested them outdoors and at night beforehand to make sure they are worth the time may be invested in modifications. These are absolutely fantastic lamps. The build quality is exactly as it should be and the front cover feels like glass instead of plastic. If it's plastic, it's very hard, thick plastic to the touch. The color of the beam is of course halogen, which I still prefer to solid state. It's just more natural light. The optics are clear and consistent. The top of the field is sharp, and the focus gets most of the light just on the horizon, rather than just in front of the bumper. Having tried a few aftermarket HID projector kits, this is the first projector of any type that I have seen that work properly. In fact, these halogen projectors gave way more coverage than the factory HID projectors on my previous '09 Volvo. It is so good. Too bad they were too long to fit my application. On the way back, I pump up my legs, but they end up not matching the car I'm working on. If your project has permission to accept them I'll give them 2 thumbs up.
