Review on 🐠 Dr. Aquatics Ammonium Chloride Aquarium Treatment - 022181 by Dana Wood

Exactly what it says!

This is exactly what I wanted - aquarium grade ammonia (ie fragrance and surfactant free) for a fish free circuit. I was concerned about some of the negative reviews so I started with 28 drops for my 29 gallon tank just to be on the safe side (because obviously after gravel and decor you lose about 1 gallon of water space) which is 1/4 the amount was recommended doses. I checked after 10 minutes and got a reading of 0.5ppm using the API Master Kit (it was originally 0ppm). So I added 28 more drops and checked again and got a reading of 1ppm showing a steady increase of 0.5ppm each time. Just to be extra careful, I added 56 drops and got a reading of 2 ppm after the third measurement. Finally convinced of the dosage, I got my tank up to 3 parts per million and finished the night. I'm not sure if the person with the bad experience had an old bottle (which used to only use 1 drop per gallon) or what, but the product I got got my tank down to 2ppm perfectly at 4 drops/gallon . And while I understand those who preferred the older potency (fewer drops required overall), I kind of appreciate that it's not as toxic to use, and god forbid you won't get nearly as much with an extra drop or 2 To do damage. as with the older concentration I appreciate!
