Review on 🏍️ Rareelectrical New Starter for Yamaha ATV Yfm550 Yfm700 Grizzly - Part Numbers 28P-81890-00-00, 28P818900000, 28P-81890-01-00, 28P818900100 by Justin Hines

This starter has just been installed on a 2016 Yamaha Kodiak. All the damaged magnets fell out of the case when the factory starter was disassembled so I wasn't that keen on going back to a genuine Yamaha part and it was less than 50% the cost. Time will tell how he holds up. I had to readjust the terminal guard, which required removing the starter again, but I didn't give it a star for that because I had to fix that before installation and that alignment would depend on the application. . He lost the star because I also had to sand the mounting holes before the hardware went in. All it took was a small bevel at the top and bottom of both holes, but that had to be done in their machine shop, not mine. Overall it looks like a quality product and the quad starts like new again. If it has a reasonable lifespan I would buy it again.
