Cannot be depressurized at all

I installed it in the original coolant reservoir which started leaking after a few days. I bought a new coolant tank and it started leaking within 30 minutes or so. Coincidence? Possibly, but I'm wondering, this cap doesn't provide any relief at all. I ended up buying another coolant reservoir and kept the cap it came with and no more problems.
