Review on ๐Ÿงผ Capture Carpet Cleaner Soil Release Pre-Mist: Enhancing Stain, Dirt, Odor, Grease, and Smell Removal for Carpet Dry Cleaning Powder by Richard Singleton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good but not perfect

It was relatively easy to use, but it required some effort. The smell (citric, pleasant and non-chemical) is there, but it doesn't appear to have any artificial fragrance and has never caused allergies. It is a very fine, almost wet powder. If used carefully and as directed, it does not fly through the air, but dissolves easily when emptying my (bagless) vacuum cleaner. I found it clogged my vacuum cleaner filters a bit, but they're all washable so that's not a problem. Overall, it certainly isn't entirely hassle-free, but it's much, much cheaper than a professional cleaning. Did it work? Spring. First yes. But after a few weeks some of the smell returned. The problem I was trying to solve had to do with my dog who had been dying of cancer for several months and was leaking bloody drool (and possibly urine) onto the carpet. The stench when summer came and I closed the windows was really terrible and made them go away. For some time. When he came back it was much less intense. I haven't submitted yet. I also left it on for 6-8 hours, much longer than the instructions say.

Pros
  • Helps remove stubborn or stubborn stains. Tip: For heavily soiled carpets, work Pre-Mist very gently into the carpet before dusting with Capture Dry (sold separately).
Cons
  • Expensive
