Appearance of Scratches and Dents

Purchased from Revain, there were scratches and dents on the front despite being encased in a soft plastic case. Being white and shiny, the defects are easily visible on the switch's wall plate, which is not too far from eye level. Maybe use it for a floor level outlet, that's no problem. I wonder if it was just a coincidence, I bought a plastic wrapped one from Lowe's and when I open it up I see that it's also covered in lots of scratches and dents in the same place. So there are no problems in production and quality control. Functionally, they will work, but the appearance is inferior to the products of the competition.
