Review on ๐Ÿšฝ 75758 Nightlight, Quiet Close Grip Tight Round Front Toilet Seat by Christian Poojary

Don't buy electronics from plumbers

Nice toilet seat that is easy to assemble. The soft close mechanism works well. But the reason I bought this particular seat and not many others was because of the night lighting in the bathroom that my kids use. And that component of that seat is just terribly bad. Firstly, 4 AA batteries which the instructions said should last 6 months with the built in timer cycle actually lasted just over 1 week. I have now 8 batteries in 3 weeks. What a waste. I just don't understand how a tiny blue LED can draw so much current. I have 600 lumen flashlights that have been using the same 2 AA batteries for 2 years and still work. Second, and most likely related to the first, the battery compartment is very thin and not protected from moisture in any way. Look this is a baby toilet and I have 3 little boys who sometimes can't aim. When I went to change the batteries, I was disgusted to find that the battery compartment was literally dripping with moisture. Shouldn't there be some sort of rubber padding around the battery compartment, like those used in good flashlights and waterproof cameras, to protect the electronics from ambient moisture? The lack of waterproofing makes the night light more of a nuisance than a feature and very difficult to clean.

Pros
  • Clutch Tight bumpers increase stability and prevent movement
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
