: Its Hardness and its excellent finish. Cons: Crap design. 1) There is too much material around the left (top) bolt hole and it gets into the rod holder. It's fine, but this tilts the mount a few degrees, resulting in a long antenna overall. 2) The supplied screws are chrome plated and the wrong type. They should be black with an integrated shoulder, especially at this price point. 3) The bracket should have an additional Z curve to push the top of the bracket closer to the rear door (towards the front of the vehicle). The antenna will rub against almost any stock tire over 31 feet or with an aggressive sidewall. I don't know why it's so hard for manufacturers to test their products.
