Review on Moen 22036 Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink Basket Strainer with Drain Assembly - 3-1/2 Inch by Robert Maysey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for a new job or replacement

This is a really good product and also less expensive than many others available. It requires no putty. and instead has a thin rubber disk under the rim in the bowl. If it has any flaws none of the plumbing tools I have will fit. Another good feature: It doesn't have a 4" OD 3-1/8" ID nut, but instead has a body with a nut that will most likely fit a large open-end wrench pressing against the washers underneath. (See photo in product description.) I managed to tighten it enough. To connect to the water supply, it has a plastic insert and connection nut at the bottom of the filter; In most installations it should have a washer. The plastic insert also reduces the hole for draining water from the sink. Instead, I use a 1-3/4" diameter 1/8" o-ring (unfortunately you won't find this on Revain at the moment) or a regular 1-3/4" rubber washer, which also does the drain disturbs area .
