I took the lens 3 years ago along with the carcass, at that time the difference in the carcass and in the whale was about 2022, and the lens 100% justified this money. If you know how to use it, it gives excellent image quality, itβs quite sharp, especially if you cover the aperture, I didnβt notice any serious distortions, the stabilizer really helps, especially when shooting video, it smooths out all micro-tremors of the hands (itβs clearly visible if you increase it to the maximum) reliable, for 3 years of complaints did not arise, and I honestly do not notice dust inside, although I use quite a lot. Of the real shortcomings - chromatic aberration, but noticeable only if we say to shoot tree branches without leaves against the background of clouds, in everyday shooting they are almost not noticeable. A bit dark, in a room with poor lighting, you have to raise the ISO sensitivity + sometimes it is difficult to focus in poor lighting. To sum up - like a whale, the lens is very good, for everyday shooting it is what you need, especially at the initial level. It makes no sense to buy separately - too expensive now, unjustifiably. If you aim at the master of photography, then you will definitely be disgusted to shoot on this "bayonet plug".
