This is the best! c Radio scanner

I have had this scanner for exactly 1 year and am very satisfied. I started out with 4 channel quartz handheld scanners in the mid 70's but when they all went digital everyone was out of a job until manufacturers came out with affordable digital scanners. I had a programmable scanner in the 90's (still had to program each frequency) so I was a bit aware of the complexity even then. Well, digital technology is MUCH more complex in some ways, but much less in other ways. Example: If you're a fan of scanners, you'll love the 50,000 options you can create with this scanner. But if, like most of us, you just want to hear our local emergency services, all you have to do is enter your zip code and listen! However, there are some options you may want to choose such as: B. the distance at which the scanner should work. Most of us who live in cities choose zero. If you live further away you can choose 3 5 8 miles (or whichever option allows that option). Another option you need to know about is deleting radio shows that you don't want to listen to such as: E.g. buses or trains. The main thing you need is to download Uniden's software, set up your channels there and then upload them to your scanner. This is not required, but it greatly simplifies the task. The SECOND main thing is to watch videos on YouTube about this scanner! They will help you more than anything!
