Review on Ultra Wide Angle Zoom Lens for SLR Cameras - Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM by Stanislaw Malkinski ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

although this applies not only to 17-40, that is, for example, everything is sharp on the left, it can occur as a result of a blow, but, believe me, mark II (mostly landscapes) can be viewed here photo_page=1 and a little later in my LiveJournal: Com/ As a result, this is already my third 17-40 in a row, that is, I sold it, buying other lenses for trial, / 2.8, but I did not find any difference except for the price, weight and filter diameter of 82 do not get carried away with studying graphs, tests, etc. , but take more photos, in which 17-40 is definitely a good helper!

Pros
  • This lens has quite a few advantages, but I will briefly dwell on the main ones: 1 Really working f / 4, Autofocus is tenacious, does not crawl and aims exactly at the target + Color reproduction is better than the EF-S 10-22, which I once used on the Canon 600 Filters 77 The build quality is at its best, Reasonable price.
Cons
  • There are no shortcomings, a good lens for sane money, but there will certainly be those who will compare with 18-55 and demand aperture ratio of almost 1.0, while forgetting why 17-40 is needed at all and under what illumination it is necessary to take photos.
