I bought two of these and my sister also bought one. We have two good ones and one bad one. ABOUT GOOD (two out of three). They make very good webcams if you have the space. Since they're not as wide-angle as all other webcams, it's more like a portrait lens on a DSLR. And thanks to the zoom, you can crop your image to be just a headshot or (relatively) wide angle. In our application we have a huge (5 inch) computer screen about 5 feet away. We mount this camera on a tripod directly in front of the screen and partially cover the screen. So in teleconferencing, let's say zoom, when we're looking at people on the screen, we're also looking directly at people. The same applies to live training and simultaneous recording. I put the camera between me and the live audience. When I watch a live audience, the home audience sees me watching them. Note that there is manual zoom (on camera), manual focus, and manual iris. You must open the shutter or else you will think your camera is broken indoors. On a Mac I use this with i glasses so I can adjust the tint etc. The telephoto lens can be useful for other reasons, I think like school games or looking at a bird feeder, the image quality is pretty good. POOR CAMERA (one of three bought): Both sides, left and right, are relatively brown compared to the center half. This maybe tolerable if you don't take care of the flowers. But for example it messes up green screen in zoom (when using a real green screen). I tried to contact the seller and he didn't answer. Next I try Raven.
