This is one of the few small dog electronic exercisers that I have been able to find at a reasonable price. This was not one of those cheap drugs from other countries that may or may not cause my 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier unintentional or excessive pain. I would recommend it to other buyers. She is smaller than Jack Russell and fits here perfectly. The only modification I had to make was to simply remove the excess slack. At the lowest level, my wife and I hardly felt the shock. About halfway uncomfortable and generally where I leave it. She never showed any sign of pain, her neck muscles only tensing briefly. I like the +2 button because it's very stubborn. We're using this to help her with an issue where she feels she has all of her personal space. It really works, and for most of them a simple beep is enough to indicate a change in setting when it growls. I'm deducting a star because even on the highest settings it's still not that shocking. It also doesn't charge, which would be an added plus. Just for the record, I was hit twice with the X26 taser which most law enforcement agencies across the country carry (required for training), this is far from the pain threshold the X26 causes. It will not harm your poodle at the lowest level. My dog doesn't even respond to the Low1 setting.
