Do not recommend: Dangerous, Bad design

β€’ Dangerous: It's easy to disable the safety mechanism by simply leaving the lid open. The water will continue to boil until it is empty, in which case this plastic kettle may overheat, melt or start a fire Danger: Steam enters the handle as part of the safety mechanism and can escape through the power button. on the handle, which can cause burns. β€’ Dangerous/Terrible: The drainage holes on the bottom of the kettle, used to drain condensation from the safety mechanism, don't really do much. Condensation still accumulates between the inner and outer layers, which you cannot clean. The only time these drain holes will do anything is when the boiling water level rises and flows into the handle, in which case the boiling water will spill out the bottom of the kettle and possibly burn you. β€’ Danger(?) / Roughness: The plastic outer casing emits toxic fumes into the air at temperatures close to boiling point.
