Quality basket, terrible instructions

I put this basket on the handlebars of my granddaughter's mountain bike for her to carry her backpack in to go to school. I was afraid it might affect the steering or throw it off balance. Fortunately, this is not a problem. The basket is made from lightweight (nylon?) fabric with a very lightweight (aluminum?) frame and weighs next to nothing. Of course, when her heavy backpack is in it, the steering is a bit slower, but she can steer it with ease. It's great that the basket is extended and removed by simply sliding the locking button and lifting the basket (with straps on the handles). . It would be great for short shopping trips as you can just take it to the store and then buckle up for the ride home. It also has a fabric that you can stretch and tighten with a screw at the top to prevent the contents from raining or falling out while driving. Unfortunately the installation took longer than it should because the instructions are terrible! They are clearly poorly translated (see my posted photo) and are missing some key steps. Firstly these are two long pieces of rubbery plastic which aren't specified in the instructions and it took me a bit to figure out that they need to be placed in small thin pockets on either side to keep the basket from falling apart (see Photo). . Next are eight of these C-shaped plastic pieces, again without mentioning them in the instructions. It turns out these are spacers that need to be inserted into the piece that bolts to the handlebars to make it fit securely around the frame and you need to select the size or combination of sizes that works best for the frame of your bike and you use four of them. in the notches on the part you screw on (see my photos to see where they go). Once I got all of that sorted out, the rest of the setup was done in minutes and my granddaughter was off and riding happily without hurting her. back and shoulders. Success!
