Works until it works.

Our employer decided to buy some laptops without network cards. I'm responsible for the network infrastructure and we're in the process of setting up new devices. I need an ethernet port and this was the leader. This is anchor. The body is made of metal. The cable is braided and resilient. It should have been incredible. But it wasn't. This product will keep you dry when you need it most. Perhaps the desktop experience is different, but using it as a network engineer was a disappointment. From the start, it duplicated its presence in the operating system by creating two network connection identifiers. After 2 days of use, my USB bus started to become unstable after 4 hours, resulting in 2 Windows 10 crashes. It really doesn't like cable disconnects, which can cause the device to become unresponsive and enter a terminal reboot loop . . After 4 days of use it was dead and unresponsive. Edit: I got a replacement under warranty. The replacement seems to work well, so I've adjusted my score accordingly.

Pros
  • Premium Construction: Features a sleek aluminum body and braided nylon cable to complement the design of high-end devices.
Cons
  • Not bad
