Review on πŸ’Ώ Sony BDU-X10S Blu-ray 2X BD-ROM/8x DVD-ROM SATA Drive with Software - Black by Jeff Langford

Great Blu-ray Drive - Bad Software

Well, first of all, the Blu-ray drive is a quality product that works flawlessly and now offers excellent value for money. I have a 22" widescreen monitor capable of supporting and displaying HD quality and a decent quality graphics card (Nvidia 9400GT 1GB). I'm trying to make my computer a media center as much as possible, so it's no wonder I wanted a Blu-ray player for it. To everyone who bought this product and gave it a lower than usual rating because it can't play Blu-ray DVDs, especially newer ones: it's not so much a hardware issue as it is a software issue. YES, it has TERRIBLE software and drivers for it and YES, the updates are completely useless. For this problem, I recommend buying Cyberlink Power DVD 9 Ultra Edition. I think people are getting PowerDvd 6, it's a horrible version with a lot of bugs and no really useful updates. Really Buy Cyberlink Power DVD 9 might cost you $80 or more instead, and I'm in no way endorsing it and I'm not responsible for any consequences that may arise from it, but *cough* streams *cough**cough *. t you can download the entire Power DVD 9 Ultra Edition in about 2-3 hours or less depending on your connection, and then start watching movies in minutes. The bottom line is that if you want to buy this Blu-ray drive, you NEED to buy better software. Legal or illegal, otherwise it will easily cost you another 70-80$. Hope this review helped.
